Carolina Herrera Spring ‘09 Fashion

One of Coverings’ favorite labels on the Spring ‘09 Runway was Carolina Herrera. Her designs are impeccable and crafted to hint at couture…not to far over the top. This is precisely why she is a great fit for fashionable women in the church community.
The look is sleek, chic and glamorous; evening dresses and gowns in moire’ satin, full ballskirts paired with her signature crisp cotton shirts and broadtail dinner dresses. For day she is showing trumpet skirts and 1940’s tweed suits , which are my personal favorites. Herrera has the unique ability to make vintage look new again. Simply stunning!
The designer herself is Venezuelan-born and the mother of four girls. In 1980, received positive responses on a test collection she created. Carolina Hererra then moved family to New York, where she formed her fashion company one year later. She received the 2004 CFDA Women’s Designer of the Year honor.
Carolina Herrera can be purchased at Carolina Herrera, Saks Fifth Avenue and Bergdorf Goodman. As with all designs shown in Coverings, be sure to read our tips on how to make a style or trend work for your body type and lifestyle.
Stay beautiful!
