Clinique’s Even Better Dark Spot Corrector

Clinique Even Better Dark spot Corrector is creating a huge stir because it actually works! I have seen some blogs where women have tested the product and now rave about it. Yes, it comes highly recommended by women who have experienced either acne or dark spots they wanted to get rid of. The skin tone corrector is more powerful than its original because it also minimizes and completely eradicates spots or blemishes in twelve weeks.
The consensus is that you have to use the skin corrector at least twice a day in order to reap the true benefits. What’s even better about Even Better Skin Corrector is that the tiny bottle you buy lasts up to six months. How is that for a bargain?
I will pick up a bottle this weekend to prove the blogs wrong. I have a ton freckles that I inherited from my father that I would like to banquish from my face forever. I am on a quest to see if this skin corrector really works, too.

Want to know the hot handbags for spring 2010?
Yes. It is already time to look at spring fashions. Winter clothes are being pushed to the back of the stores as the spring fashions arrive by the truckloads. Here are some spring handbag trends from eBags’, the handbag experts.

Bohemian: Boho style is back again. Fringe handbags, tie-dye bags, ethnic touches, slouchy, hobos, and beadedadornment are the rave.
Cross-Body Bags: These never went out of style but now look for cross-body handbags with chain straps and smaller (mini) cross-body’s.
Hardware: Also, transitioning into spring, look for bags with studs, grommets, and exposed zippers.
Color: Spring handbag colors include your typical bright colors and pastels, but also look for neon colors and jewel-toned hues (purples, blues, and greens).
Texture: Another look from the past is the texture of the fabric. Braided handles, woven leather, lots of detail, and pleating accents are just some of the handbag trends for the season.

The paparazzi are clamoring around her to get pictures as she appears to have a slew of fashion friends and fabulous wardrobe of designer clothes. Ms. Jones is known as playing a vital part to the fashion industry’s market just by being associated with her as she dresses up or has photographs taken.
In the past Ms. Jones has been highlighted by famous photographers like Patrick McMullan who featured her in more than 400 pictures. New York’s fashion shows depict Ms. Jones as a fixture along the runways of Marc Jacobs, Zac Posen, Calvin Klein and Proenza Schouler. She has been known as the “It Girl” on the fashion scene years ago, so let’s see if she has made a comeback.
Michael Kors says women like Ms. Jones, “because she wears the clothes with her own style, is much more credible than when a stylist dresses a celebrity.” Also, she was seen dancing in one of a short navy dress designed by Mr. Posen which later appeared in Style.com, a fashion Web site published by Advance Publications Inc. — the company that also owns Vogue. A Vogue stylist, noticed the dress and Ms. Jones, called Mr. Posen to ask that the dress be sent over for consideration in their magazine.
Currently, she has taken on a project to display her talents by launching a glamorous jewelry and handbag collection that has become a hit on the fashion scene. Ms. Jones designs have been bejeweled by Rihanna, Kate Moss and Kim Kardashian.

The Haircut Nightmare

Before the salon visit
After the salon visit
There is a neighborhood beauty salon that I pass every day. I decided to make an appointment last Wednesday to get a shampoo and style. I was greeted by a receptionist who directed me to the hairstylist who would provide the services I requested. She walked me to a shampoo room where she began to wash and condition my hair. I was pleased with this part of the process, but it came time to dry my hair. I sat under a hair dryer which I frown upon because it takes so long to dry my thick and medium length hair. I prefer a simple blow dryer. After about an hour under the dryer, I was motioned to sit in THE CHAIR to get my hair styled. Twenty minutes may have passed when she said, “You know, your hair would have a cleaner finish if you let me trim your ends. What do you think?” I said it would be okay if you are just trimming a couple of inches…
She not only cut the two inches I told her too, but she must have taken two or three more in honor of her own desire to go on a cutting frenzy because my hair was considerably shorter than eighteen inches long before the salon visit! You be the judge.
Here some tips that I learned from this experience:
1) Never let the stylist turn the chair you sit in away from the mirror!
2) Ask a lot of questions.
3) Be very clear on how much hair you want trimmed.
4) Make sure the stylist is interested in healthy hair and not a “scissor-happy mad stylist”.
5 Fabulous cosmetic bags
I am desperately in need of a new makeup bag. Actually, I was desperate two years ago. Now, it’s just pathetic! But a fashionista, such as myself, can’t just run out and grab some random bland bag in which to carry my fabulous makeup, and neither should you. Ditch your boring bag and get something with some sass, some pizazz, something that’s “you.” I’ve been hard at work searching cosmetic bag after cosmetic bag and here are a few that caught my eye.
Contents Pretty In Pink Organizer Case – Pink
Why: Uh…look at it! It’s fabulous! The design is hip and the color palette is ferosh. Plus, I absolutely love fuchsia.

Why: You all know how I feel about eco-friendly garb, and this cosmetic bag reminds me of a pea. And peas are always cute.

Why: Because it says, “Aloha,” and make me think of summertime on white sand beaches, grass skirts, and ocean breezes. Anything that can take my mind off of this Texas heat is a good thing!

Modella – Clear Travel Bag Personal Care
Why: You’re a jet setter and you want everyone to know it. Or maybe you aren’t. Either way, people will think you are with this mod-esque makeup bag.

Why: Can you say classic? So, so can this bag. No, it can’t talk but the color combo and chandelier print make it speak volumes. Plus, there are three of them!
John Freida, protecting hair one strand at a time
I am a hair serum junkie. I love that it does all the things to my hair that I want without weighing it down or making it stringy. Right now I’m using John Freida Frizz Ease Thermal Protection Serum, and I’m totally digging it. It gives all the shine of a regular hair serum and offers added heat protection, which is something I need. I have to say that so far the heat protection factor is working pretty well. So of course, I felt compelled to sing it’s praises and share it with all of you. I’ll admit, it’s a tiny bottle for the price but you don’t have to use much to get the benefits. I’ve had my bottle for about a month and haven’t even used 1/4 of it. Whether you need to protect your hair from heat, including UV rays, or if you just want a nice shine enhancing finishing products for your tresses, you get the best of both worlds with this particular John Freida product.
Happy styling!
Haute summer look: Fuchsia lips
Good Morning, all!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I spent the day at home with my fabulous new dog, Genesis. We watched the Twilight Zone marathon on the SyFy channel went on a few walks and did some online shopping. It was a perfect day. And in keeping ahead of the fashion curve I did some research on fuchsia lipstick. That’s right, fuchsia lipstick. It’s all the rage, and just about every skin tone can pull it off. However, it’s definitely not for the meek. It gives the effect of a red lip but turned up by 1,000 watts, but be careful. The look can either be ethereal or very very wrong. The shade that I’m totally digging is Rock Icon Fuchsia from Lancome Paris. However, you can find fuchsia lipstick in the MAC Hello Kitty collection, Estee Lauder Fuchsia Now collection, or your favorite makeup brand.
How do you pull off fuchsia lips? Go for a shade that compliments your skin’s undertones. Just like red lipstick, fuchsia lipstick can have various undertones. If you skin has “cool” undertones then go for a “cool” fuchsia lipstick, meaning it has blue undertones. “Warm” undertones should be paired with a warm fuchsia lipstick, which will have orange undertones, and “neutral” should go with neutral, which means a pure fuchsia. As for the rest of your face; go crazy or keep it simple. Check out the pics to see how these women are pulling off this haute summer makeup trend.

L’Oreal HiP eyeliner look
Last week I was in the cosmetics section of my local pharmacy and saw this very cool L’Oreal pic portraying a color combo eyeliner duo. I have every intention of replicating this look shown on Beyonce. She’s wearing HiP high intensity pigments Kohl Eyeliner in Burgundy Kohl and Gold Kohl.

Play up your eyes with this dual look. Pick up both colors anywhere L’Oreal products are sold. Start by applying Burgundy Kohl Eyeliner to your lids as close to the lash line as possible. Make the color pop by following with an application of Gold Kohl Eyeliner directly above the burgundy line. When applying both lines add an upward flick of you wrist at the tail end to give a bit of a cat eye look. Hit your cheeks with just a bit of pinkish blush, right on the apples. And polish off this eye popping look with a high gloss juicy pink pigment.
*Remember to keep all the other makeup minimal so that all the attention is drawn to your eyes.
Haute summer look: Bronze eyeliner
I love experimenting with new makeup looks! With the changing of every season, I like to treat myself and my makeup bag to a new shadow or a funky liner. What better color to choose for summer than bronze? Darker than gold, the color is heavy enough to still add depth to my eyes and make them pop. Plus, who cares if your bronze liner runs since it will be virtually unnoticeable, making it a great addition to a low maintenance summer makeup look. Try out these bronze eyeliner picks below, and you’ll look like you got just a kiss of sun.
