Beauty News1 Must Have Beauty Products

I have reviewed the following beauty products to find that they are essential to starting spring off right. They provide relief to those areas of concern so that we can focus on more important events.

  1. If you do not have time to shampoo your hair, Sephora has a product line available called Frederic Fekkai au Naturel Dry shampoo which gets rid of odor and dirt. It is made of natural ingredients to leave your hair smooth and silky. $23
  2. Mascara is another must have product. If you want great lengths, try Givenchy’s Phenomen’Eyes Mascara for a spherical applicator that provides precise smoothness. $8 at Ulta
  3. Marc Anthony’s Strictly Curls D-Frizz Serum is chocked full of vitamin E to reduce frizz even in humid climates.
  4. Nexxus Heat Protexx Styling Spray to protect hair against heat damage from heat styling tools. $14 Nexxus
  5. Mac Select SPF 15 Foundation has a water- based foundation that lasts all day providing a SPF and a matte finish. $26 at Macy’s
  6. Clinique’s Take the Day Off  Makeup Remover helps to get rid of makeup that may be waterproof without irritating your delicate skin.  $18
  7. Ulta has Earth Therapeutics Aloe Socks with soft, moisturizing spa feel for feet. This way you can extend the time between those pedicures at the salon.
  8. Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal to continue that professional dental work in between visits. The strips have been design to be worn during the day with a non slip proven formula. $35
  9. Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion is a keeper. This lotion provides relief for dry and flaky skin without that greasy and heavy feeling. $12
  10. St. Ives In-Shower Exfoliating Body Polish to rejuvenate the skin. The bottle has oats and shea butter to exfoliate without irritating the skin. $8

Haute summer look: Fuchsia lips

lancome fuchsia lipstick resize Haute summer look: Fuchsia lipsGood Morning, all!
I hope everyone had a great 4th of July. I spent the day at home with my fabulous new dog, Genesis. We watched the Twilight Zone marathon on the SyFy channel went on a few walks and did some online shopping. It was a perfect day. And in keeping ahead of the fashion curve I did some research on fuchsia lipstick. That’s right, fuchsia lipstick. It’s all the rage, and just about every skin tone can pull it off. However, it’s definitely not for the meek. It gives the effect of a red lip but turned up by 1,000 watts, but be careful. The look can either be ethereal or very very wrong. The shade that I’m totally digging is Rock Icon Fuchsia from Lancome Paris. However, you can find fuchsia lipstick in the MAC Hello Kitty collection, Estee Lauder Fuchsia Now collection, or your favorite makeup brand.

How do you pull off fuchsia lips? Go for a shade that compliments your skin’s undertones. Just like red lipstick, fuchsia lipstick can have various undertones. If you skin has “cool” undertones then go for a “cool” fuchsia lipstick, meaning it has blue undertones. “Warm” undertones should be paired with a warm fuchsia lipstick, which will have orange undertones, and “neutral” should go with neutral, which means a pure fuchsia. As for the rest of your face; go crazy or keep it simple. Check out the pics to see how these women are pulling off this haute summer makeup trend.

Haute summer look: Bronze eyeliner

bronze eyeliner Haute summer look: Bronze eyeliner I love experimenting with new makeup looks! With the changing of every season, I like to treat myself and my makeup bag to a new shadow or a funky liner. What better color to choose for summer than bronze? Darker than gold, the color is heavy enough to still add depth to my eyes and make them pop. Plus, who cares if your bronze liner runs since it will be virtually unnoticeable, making it a great addition to a low maintenance summer makeup look. Try out these bronze eyeliner picks below, and you’ll look like you got just a kiss of sun.
