Think Twice Before You Buy

It is a waste of your time to buy toner. Toner is no longer needed now that cleansers no longer leave a filmy residue on the skin. Another unnecessary product is the neck cream. A more affordable treatment would be to use a moisturizer with sunscreen by day and a retinol cream each night. Got dry flaky lips? A simple lip balm will help provide a remedy to the situation instead of a lip exfoliator. Also, if they are super flaky, try removing it by using a tissue and lightly rubbing it over your lips. Have you seen the foot mask? It is better to use the use a moisturizer to smooth out dry cracked skin than the mask. Finally, cellulite dissolving creams, foams, lotions or pills. A good sunscreen will prevent a loss of collagen which, UV rays can cause the skin to become more dimpled.

Clinique’s Even Better Dark Spot Corrector

Clinique Even Better Dark spot Corrector is creating a huge stir because it actually works! I have seen some blogs where women have tested the product and now rave about it. Yes, it comes highly recommended by women who have experienced either acne or dark spots they wanted to get rid of. The skin tone corrector is more powerful than its original because it also minimizes and completely eradicates spots or blemishes in twelve weeks.
The consensus is that you have to use the skin corrector at least twice a day in order to reap the true benefits. What’s even better about Even Better Skin Corrector is that the tiny bottle you buy lasts up to six months. How is that for a bargain?
I will pick up a bottle this weekend to prove the blogs wrong. I have a ton freckles that I inherited from my father that I would like to banquish from my face forever. I am on a quest to see if this skin corrector really works, too.

Fashion Week: Spring 2010 beauty trends
Did you miss us? Of course you did. We’ve picked up some great new writers and even more knowledge about fashion, health, and beauty. So, to kick things of for our return we present the 6 biggest beauty trends from 2010 Fashion Week.
The second I picked up this article from Bella Sugar I think I started to drool a little. This year I’m all about working on my outside, since I’m totally convinced my inside is pure perfection. What better way to start than with your face. Seriously, the manner in which you make it up can make you look young and beautiful or add 20 years. That’s exactly why I’m so in love with this spring’s makeup trends. It’s all about peach lips, electric eyeliner colors and bold applications of it.
And the hair…it’s etherial. Literally. Long flowing locks slightly mussed with soft texture. Just tell everyone to call you “Helen of Troy.” I could go on and on, but I’ll just let you see it for yourself.

Beauty tips to help you look younger
We all want to turn back the hands of time and capture our youth in a bottle. If I could I would look the way I did when I was in my early 20s, forever. While that’s not possible, there are a few thing we can do to make onlookers say, “There’s no way she’s (fill in your age here)!” Try these beauty tips to keep you looking younger.

Bronzer
No matter how old, or young, you are every woman needs bronzer. It is the makeup cure all. It gives your skin a beautiful glow, like that of your youth. Mix a bit into your foundation before you apply it for an even all over healthy, dewy look that makes your face come alive.
Lip gloss
I love “juicy” lip colors. Think cherry, fuchsia, watermelon…colors that you associate with childhood. Giving your lips a bit of color in a lip gloss shade will do wonders. First, gloss doesn’t dry your lips out the way lipstick does and you don’t have to worry about feathering. Secondly, you don’t have to worry about lipstick bleeding into wrinkles around your mouth. Plus, something about lip gloss conjures up pictures of our youth. And isn’t that how you’d like to be portrayed, as opposed to “the older lady who always has lipstick on her teeth?”
Hair
There are a few things you want to keep in mind. As you get older your hair should not get darker or harder. That means, stay away from the hairspray, helmet head hairdos, and monotone hair color. Softening your hair will soften your face, so avoid extreme hair looks. Make your hair multidimensional with highlight and low light accents. Regardless of the style, don’t try to keep it in place with gel or hairspray just style it and go. Keeping your hair soft to the touch and flexible will take years off of you.
