Tattoo Tights

I was getting my daily does of Shine from Yahoo, and came across these awesome tights. Now I’m a girl who refuses to wear bottoms unless they have a decent amount of spandex in them. I don’t know what I’d do if leggings or jeggings every went out of style. So, you can imagine how elated I was to see the totally cute tights all done up with faux tattoos. These are perfect for the girl who likes to show a little leg. I ‘m really digging the peacock feather tights. Pair them with a sweater tunic, belt the waist and slide on a pair of wellies or “boyfriend” motorcycle boots and you have a comfy and stylish outfit for the fall or winter.
Coverings’ Ferosh Faux Fur Picks

Temps are steady dropping, and you know what that means…bring on the faux fur! With a waning economy, going faux is a trend that designers have run with, offering faux fur pieces that could easily pass for the real thing. Create a cozy cold weather wardrobe with our favorite ferosh faux fur pieces!
The second we saw this faux fur outerwear, we fell in love. With an affordable faux chinchilla coat from Betsy Johnson to a faux mink from our favorite “fast fashion” retailer, Forever 21, outerwear has never been so chic! The fur trimmed cape at ASOS makes us think of classic British style and would look fabulous paired with two-tone riding boots and oversized sunglasses. For a more contemporary look, we like the belted fur vest. It works well layered over a simple silhouette and instantly becomes part of the outfit. And for the woman who likes to push the fashion envelope, BCBG offers an edgy, faux leather coat trimmed with fur.
But, what if you already have the perfect coat and there isn’t a bit of fur in sight? Don’t fret. You can still get in on this trend with faux fur accessories. Arm warmers from ASOS are perfect for wearing with a poncho or a 3/4 sleeve swing coat. Or, why not switch bags for the season and go with a a faux fur purse like the one from Juicy Couture? If nothing else, you can always get your fur fix with a pair of great boots or a scarf. Trapper hats are also in vogue, and you can’t go wrong with our pick featuring fur lining and a tweed exterior. It’s hanging my closet as we speak. If trapper hats aren’t your style, add a hood to your coat!
The Coverings Crew believes that life is better when you look good; because when you look good you feel good. And, what’s better than creating an outfit that makes you look like a million bucks?
High Shine Holiday
The holiday season is in full swing and nothing says, “celebrate” like an outfit with sparkle. But, it’s a fine line between looking like a perfectly styled holiday hostess and looking like a hot holiday mess. Well, that’s what I’m here for. Follow these simple tips and you’re guaranteed to pull off an outfit that truly shines.
1. A little sparkle goes a long way.
Don’t loose yourself in a sea of glitter, spangles or sequins. Pick one piece that sparkles and let it be the centerpiece of your outfit.
2. Don’t overdo it on accessories.
Actually, this is just a good rule to follow in general. Besides a purse and the right pair of shoes, you only need to add a pair of earrings and a ring, OR earrings and a cuff/bangles. You do not need all three and I can almost guarantee that you won’t need a necklace. Especially if your shimmery piece is on top.
3. Do it big, or don’t do it at all.
The key to pulling off a glam holiday look is to embrace it. Do a smoldery smoky eye or a bold bright lip. Try a messy side swept chignon or big tousled hair. Maybe even add some fake lashes to your look. If you stop half way, you’ll end up with a look that falls flat.

How to Wear a Headband Now

A lot of famous actresses have been seen wearing precious adornment in their hair. Headbands seem to be making a comeback. Whether it is floral, bejewelled, or asymmetrical in design, the accessory has made its way back into the forefront of fashion trends. That is not all. There is a growing trend to bring forth a sense of style them too. Like this beaded headband, ornate leaf or the links. I think the headband adds personal style and flare, especially to hair with soft waves or a blunt haircut.

Prada Does Perfume For Her
Last April, Prada’s Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger was publicly launched. The orange-blossom scent quickly marks its spot as one the hottest perfumes to debut. It is packaged in a collector’s box printed with a beautiful Art Nouveau pattern from the Prada textile archive. The scent is drawn from a series of limited edition “Ephemeral Infusion” Prada’s exclusive fragrance. Much like the Infusion d’Iris, Infusion de Fleur d’Oranger has a layer of sparkling orange blossom on top with notes of neroli, orange blossom, tuberose, jasmine and serendoline.
Other new fragrance to debut is Infusion de Tubéreuse. This latest edition to the collection is a mix of Indian tuberose, petitgrain bigarade (its from the leaves of the bitter-orange tree), and hints of dynamone to balance out the floral/citrusy notes, a bit sweet for our own taste, we’re quite drawn to Infusion de Vetiver, the first masculine eau de toilette in the series. Tarragon, Madagascan pepper, and purple ginger—surprising hints of grapefruit combined that wears well with our female pheromones. Some critics suggest wearing both fragrances which can only enhance the organdy scent. They last for hours and are well worth the value you pay to collect them.
Do Not Forget To Protect Your Eyes

Sunglasses are essential to the wardrobe soon as we move into the warmer weather. The best way to protect your eyes is with Ultra Violet sunshades. Incidentally, I just found out there are UV-absorbing contact lenses are now available, however, they still do not protuding the eyelids. Here is a list of tips from SHINE by Yahoo! for purchasing sunglasses:
1. Check for the OSHA label with 99 or 100 percent UV protection.
2. Look for sunglasses that are close-fitting. These will prevent UV rays from filtering in.
3. Look for larger lenses or wrap-around sunglasses to prevent light from entering in.
4. Don’t be misguided by price — higher priced sunglasses usually reflect fashion or durability, not UV protection.
5. Dark-colored sunglasses don’t necessarily provide better protection. A clear chemical coating applied to the lens is responsible for UV protection, not the lens color.
6. UV-absorbing contact lenses should not be used as substitutes for sunglasses.
Sunglasses are a timeless peice that can be own throughout each of the seasons. Please get in the habit of wearing the sunglasses because there are no replacements.
Comfortable Heels

Put aside the thought of Birkenstocks and loafers when it comes to comfort. How about heels that combined the comfort and style? Dr. Jacqueline Sutera, a podiatrist and spokesperson for the American Podiatric Medical Association, for advice on the perfect heel. Dr. Sutera recommends shoes for women that will maximize comfort and minimize the pain and damage to our feet.
First, take a look at the arch of the shoe, cushioning, and shock absorption. Look for shoes with extra cushion in the heels and front of the shoe, in addition to cork heels. Cork is crucial to absorbing shock. Avoid pointy- toed shoes, and limit your time in heels over three inches.” Her favorite brands are Nine West, BCBG and Tahari as well as Aerosoles and Geox.
She says the shorter the heel the better, because there is less damage to the back. Try to limit your everyday heel to under three inches to reduce stress on the heel. A heel that is 3 inches can put seven times the stress as a one inch. Avoid bone crushing heels with the deep toe boxes and opt for a chunkier heel to distribute your weight more evenly.
I have found a few shoes that come highly recommended. Try the Nine West Rocha pump ($78.95, nordstrom.com), BCBGeneration Titta2 pump ($80, zappos.com) or Aerosoles Women’s Pep Rally open-toe pump ($43.97, endless.com).
Hot Handbags For Spring 2010
Want to know the hot handbags for spring 2010?
Yes. It is already time to look at spring fashions. Winter clothes are being pushed to the back of the stores as the spring fashions arrive by the truckloads. Here are some spring handbag trends from eBags’, the handbag experts.

Bohemian: Boho style is back again. Fringe handbags, tie-dye bags, ethnic touches, slouchy, hobos, and beadedadornment are the rave.
Cross-Body Bags: These never went out of style but now look for cross-body handbags with chain straps and smaller (mini) cross-body’s.
Hardware: Also, transitioning into spring, look for bags with studs, grommets, and exposed zippers.
Color: Spring handbag colors include your typical bright colors and pastels, but also look for neon colors and jewel-toned hues (purples, blues, and greens).
Texture: Another look from the past is the texture of the fabric. Braided handles, woven leather, lots of detail, and pleating accents are just some of the handbag trends for the season.
Jimmy Choo designs new line for H&M

Adorning myself in awesomeness…I’m always game for that. Put me in something fierce and I’m ready for whatever life throws at me. Isn’t that the case for most of us, ladies? So of course, I was over the moon when they announced the partnership of Jimmy Choo and H&M. I know I’m not supposed to covet my neighbors stuff, but drooling over it from afar is okay, right? Well, now I don’t have to hide in the bushes stalking other women’s Jimmy Choo shoes and accessories. I can finally afford my own!

Jimmy Choo’s shoes and accessories line for H&M is marked from $30-$299. That means anyone can afford to add at least one piece from the iconic designer to their wardrobe. Jimmy Choo is one of those designers whose pieces are totally unique and edgy. They meld 80s rocker, with Chanel-esque quilting details, classic colors and prints, and still manages to stay timeless. How, I’m too sure? But, he accomplishes what very few designers can.

I totally cannot wait to carry my belongings in one of those oversized clutches, and walk all over people in a pair of those fierce strappy sandals. Ok, I don’t really plan to walk over people, that’s so unChristian like.
Michael Kors’ leather bubble skirt outfit
September 4, 2009 by Sharifa
Filed under Fashion, Stuff We Love

Michael Kors is so…well words can’t describe him. He has the ability to take the most basic pieces and make them interesting, exciting, and fresh. Take, for instance, the basic black outfit pictured above; a black mock turtleneck, black skirt, and black Mary Jane shoes. Yet, when Michael Kors gets through with this ensemble it absolutely faboosh! The mock turtleneck manages to be edgy thanks to its visible zipper. Paired with a knee length bubble skirt made of leather, it takes the look to a whole other level! Seriously, a leather bubble skirt…just saying it makes me want to kidnap it, runaway with it, and marry it.
He makes the outfit a complete statement with accessories. The one of a kind Chain Link Necklace and platform Runway Mary Jane Pumps give the whole look a “goth” flair. It’s buckles and chains meets Hamptons chic. Leave it to Michael Kors to take these two unlikely looks and turn them into something we love. Actually, scratch that…”love” is too soft a word. We’re absolutely mad about this look!
