The acupuncture facelift
Before you got too excited, I did a lot of reading and there is no such thing as an acupuncture facelift. It is a fancy spa treatment that is popping up all over the place but does not yield the same results of an actual facelift. There are, however, numerous benefits to having acupuncture done on your face. Cosmetic acupuncture entails no incisions, sutures, or acid peels and it will not produce sudden drastic changes in underlying structures. In fact, the American Cosmetic Acupuncture Association discourages the use of the term, “facelift” in connection with acupuncture, as this creates unrealistic expectations, and ultimately disappointment. Remember, it took decades of stress, sun damage, and exposure to environmental toxins for your skin to reach a state of crisis, and the damage will not be instantly undone. The “procedure” does offer the reduction, or erasure, of fine lines and the softening of deeper ones. Additionally, patients may experience the firming of jowls and a reduction in the size of under-eye bags. It is not unusual for clients to report enhanced skin tone, increased energy, and eyes that sparkle.
Think of this form of “noninvasive surgery” as a face rejuvenation. So, if you’re not ready to have your face sliced and diced, or if your skin just isn’t in that bad of shape, this may be an alternative to look into.

Hello. I just featured your article about Dr. Scott and Coverings Magazine on my website: http://www.anneofcarversville.com/annes-smart-sensuality-blog/2009/8/31/dr-peggy-scott-fashion-and-faith-can-coexist.html
I don’t care about you posting the comment. I’m trying to reach you and can’t find a way to do so in the website.
I’m very interested in knowing more about your point of view and also Dr. Scott’s and whether we can “coexist”. I understand that I push the envelope more-so than you, especially with my Victoria’s Secret background and consulting biz. BUT, I have a Michelle-Obama.com website, am deeply involved in international women’s rights, and am embroiled in issues about sensuality, body coverings, burqas, and more. I would LOVE a religious or spiritual point of view similar or more conservative than my own, but still compatible. In addition, I’m involved in major conversations about a web TV deal with AT&T and Verizon. No promises, but it should happen early 2010. Your content — especially fashion and faith, self and faith — could be a wonderful extension of Anne of Carversville. Can this message go to Dr. Scott as well? If not, I will track her down, unless you have an email addy. Thanks so much. What a great concept you have. Anne
Acupuncture is really a good alternative medicine technique for common ailments such as allergies, minor headaches and pains. I have been practicing acupuncture for 4 years now.
